{So-Very-V3} : A heartfelt thank you to close out another great year!

They are the couples who trusted us, opened their hearts and their lives, welcomed us like family, and shared with us one of the biggest & most memorable days of their lives. It's an obvious truth that we wouldn't be able to do what we do without them. And I, personally, am forever grateful and indebted to them... for I loved them so much I built a business around their love and their stories.

To all the V3 brides, grooms, & families that have made the last couple years so much fun - THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU! Some of the most heart felt, rewarding moments in my life have been spent helping you build memories. Your love, your kindness, and friendships have continued to inspire me long after your first looks and last dances =)

Wishing you and yours all the wonder and excitement that a new year holds! May you have a blessed 2012 filled with love, laughter, and many memorable days =)

Cheers!

{So-Very-V3} : Blush & Gold, Blush & Silver Wedding Inspiration!

Happy Friday Friends!

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful December afternoon :) If you have a few minutes to get some fresh air, I highly recommend it! It's been so windy the last few days but in south OC the breeze and the sunshine feels glorious right about now. Baby B and I took a nice, long walk this morning and now she is snoozing in her swing while I skittishly catch up on work and emails. Such a good baby :) Speaking of babies... the count is now five, yes FIVE, former V3 brides with a little bun in the oven as we speak-- and THREE former V3 brides with newborn babies in 2011! I don't know if there's something in the water, some extra loving in the air, or maybe it's contagious on facebook?! Seriously though, talk about a baby boom!! It's so fun to get to see them prepare for and celebrate their next major milestone in life. I even have the honor of helping with plans for a couple baby showers - so excited!

Anyhow... I wanted to quickly share these lovely little inspiration boards that I put together for one of my clients. The bride's style is super girly, romantic, elegant, and glamorous. {If it's not obvious, this look is one of my ultimate favorites!} She knew she wanted to use blush pink and ivory but was not sure on an additional accent color so I threw together these collages to help her decide.

Which is YOUR favorite??

Blush with gold/champagne accents

-or- Blush with silver/platinum accents

Quite honestly, I'm OBSESSED with both! ;) They are both just so beautiful and timeless! Steph, your wedding is going to be drop dead gorgeous {like you!} I can't wait!!

Hope you all have a most wonderful weekend!

Cheers!

Kristianna & Bryan : Laguna Cliffs Resort, Dana Point Wedding

There's seriously just so much to love about this wedding... a picture perfect venue, endless intricate details, a super fun bridal party, the most welcoming families ever, an all star team of vendors, I could go on and on... But without a doubt, my favorite thing about this wedding was simply this FABULOUS couple! Kristianna & Bryan are not only drop dead gorgeous but they are fun, thoughtful, witty, creative, and just about every other fine quality I could dream up in a client. I was lucky enough to get to walk them through their entire planning process from beginning to end- helping them lock down a venue, putting them in touch with awesome vendors, and bringing to life the dreamy details that made their day so special. Over the course of a year, we shared so many laughs, tears, stories, and coffee dates, and I am seriously over-the-moon elated to call them friends :)

Here is a deeper look into their joyous day...

P.S. If you love these photos more than I do (not possible), be sure to check out my amazingly brilliant photographers friends, Gavin & Erin Wade! G&E- You guys are my favorite too! ;)

LOVE! ♥

Obsessed with this ceremony flower arch? Look for it again behind their sweetheart table during the reception! It was such the perfect backdrop to frame these two lovebirds!

Kristianna knew what she wanted from the very first emails we exchanged. It's not hard to tell she loves everything damask, girly, blingy, & fabulous!

The paper coordinates designed by Paper Crew were BEYOND flawless!!!

All the blinged out adornments including the cake stand, crystal bling chargers, votive holders, vases, and candy containers were conveniently from V3's very own closet of rentals!

Their reception was full of tender moments and wild moments!

And two magazine worthy shots to end the night...

Kristianna & Bryan ~ I could thank you a bazillion times and it still wouldn't express how honored we were to be a part of your most memorable day. I have not a doubt in the world there will be many more joyous days like this in the future. Congrats again and big BIG hugs to you both! ♥

Happy Anniversary, Dear Husband!

3 years ago today, I vowed to love you, honor you, cherish you...

from this day forward,

for better, for worse,

for richer, for poorer,

in sickness or in health,

'till death do us part.

The last three years have {putting it mildly} drove/pushed/forced us... to learn and feel the height, the weight, and the depths of those promises. When my heart is at its fullest, it's because of you. And when it is shattered in pieces, no one holds me closer or tighter.

Thank you for being my rock, my partner, my husband, my very best friend. I love you with every beat of my heart and could not be any more committed to doing life with you.

Happy 3 year wedding anniversary & 7 year dating anniversary honey! ♥

xoxo,

Jennifer & Tony : Skirball Cultural Center Wedding

Having met with Jennifer & Tony just weeks after their engagement, I was lucky enough to be able to see them through their planning process. When they chose the Skirball Cultural Center for their wedding day, we were elated. The sophisticated architecture of the buildings and modern, simplistic design made a perfect backdrop for the wedding they envisioned. Jen had a knack for planning and an incredible eye for style so working with them was entirely a breeze.

As is evident in these photos and their {previously posted} video, their wedding day was colored with candid laughter and the palpable joy of family & friends. A big big thank you to Tauran Woo for capturing their day just as it was... beautiful and breathtaking :)

Totally obsessed with the silk organza, chiffon and charmeuse ruffles that make up this Jim Hjelm dress! So feminine and contemporary.

The couple got prepped at the Luxe Hotel Sunset Boulevard, where we were able to take their "first look" photos as well.

Ceremony time in the Taper Courtyard

Their traditional Thai ceremony was one of my favorite parts of the day. The couple pulled off a quick change of attire during cocktail hour for this to happen. Don't they look dashing?!

Their invitations were made by Shanon Medley of Medley Invitation Designs. If you are looking for creative, personal invitations you have to check them out! I instantly became a fan of their hand painted work!

Blue uplighting from Carcano DJ set the mood in the Ahmanson Hall

After dinner, guests were invited to make their own ice cream creations at the sundae bar from Dandy Don's!

Ending the night with more fist pumpin' fun!

Thanks to the handful of vendors who made this wedding a great one!

Project BABY!

Ok, I admit... I haven't been the most religious about blogging in the past recent months but I feel like I have the MOTHER (that's a hint) of all excuses! While wedding season has been busy sinking it's teeth in to 2011, we have been busy with a little project of our own too! Friends, meet our beautiful baby GIRL! :)

We absolutely cannot wait to welcome her later this fall!

I am just as excited for the weddings we have planned, as I am to kick up my feet for a bit to become a mommy :) In the meantime, she has been such a trooper and even has her first couple of weddings under her belt! hehe

The last few months, the joys and gripes of pregnancy, and the excitement surrounding this little bun in the oven has served as such a precious reminder that God is at work in our lives and God is good, all the time :) To our clients, friends, and family - thanks for sharing this journey with us! She is going to be one wholeheartedly loved little girl ♥

Candice & Jared : Clarke Estate Wedding

Candice & Jared were married this past summer at the lovely Clarke Estate in Santa Fe Springs. We met midway through their planning and I was thrilled to jump on board to coordinate their details and timeline. I was also lucky enough to help develop their floral and decor scheme, designed to recreate the unmatched ambiance of an intimate backyard wedding. My design meetings with Candice were always full of all sorts of fun oxymorons... timeless but contemporary, feminine but bold, ornate but unfussy, vintage but modern. { Ahhh... a bride that speaks my language!} Candice & Jared poured their hearts into the details which resulted in a wedding that was truly "them"... unique and personal.

Some of my favorite wedding peeps were on board that day including the uber creative Flower Allie {who honestly just blew the socks off this wedding!}, the awesome catering staff of East Side Mario's, and the ever fabulous Jordana Hazel of Hazelnut Photography, whom I am extremely grateful to for these ridiculously rockin photos! I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do :)

Lace and pearls... a quintessential duo {and personal fave!}

Candice and her faithful entourage spent the week of the wedding painting marriage metaphors on wooden picket signs that her dad made. They said things like "tying the knot", "gettin' hitched", "going to the chapel", or my favorite {pictured above} "taking the plunge"!

In lieu of bouquets, Bridesmaids carried silver clutches with a single flower adorned on them. Rather than having a guestbook, they had fabric squares for guests to sign, which they later will make into an heirloom quilt.

The shutters were random/awesome finds at a garage sale and the skeleton keys, that were used in the floral arrangements that lined the aisle, were loaned to them by a personal friend who happened to have a fine collection of all things vintage. Score!

The centerpiece arrangements included vintage bottles from Candice's and my own personal collection. Candice called me one day to tell me she found an interesting looking caged fruit bowl that she wanted to use. {yes she's super eclectically creative like that!} When we brought the thingamajig to our floral meeting we had so much fun playing with it and we all just knew it would come out to be something kinda wonderful! Flower Allie created a few designs using a variety of succulents and creamy puffy flowers... {another favorite duo!}

As a side note... The Clarke Estate is such a gem of a venue! If you are engaged and looking for an private, outdoor wedding venue that neighbors both LA & OC, you really should check it out! { And then you really should hire an awesome coordinator to spice it up! ;) he he }

Using panels of lace fabric and long strands of pearls, I created this backdrop for the cake table and the couple's "cabana". Candice collected these perfect purple vases and jars that we used to dress up their sweetheart table. I just adore the way it all turned out!

Candice & Jared ~ Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for being your sweet wonderful selves, and for allowing me the opportunity to be part of your day. You guys inspire me ♥
xoxo,
